Bright Eye Shadows: They’re back! For work, line your lid with a striking color and nude lip, but go all out on the weekend with a full sweep across your eyes. Our favorite colors: hot pink, burnt oranges, turquoise blues and rich metallics.

Purple Lipstick: Ditch the red, pinks and nudes and get sassy with a lavender purple. This color happens to look good on all complexions of Black women and it looks best in a matte finish. But if you do go glossy, rock with a single, thin liquid lined eye, two coats of mascara and a sheer blush. Let the lips do the talking!

Shimmery, Shimmery Eyes: Most women run from this trend from the fear of looking like a tween. But the trick is to choose the right base shades, like golds, mauves and pinks. Dab on a good primer to keep the fine glitter from creasing.
