A Piece of Cake by Patricia Ssewungu

The Queen of daytime TV, Oprah Winfrey once said,  “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. The ability to triumph always begins with you.”

I have overcome overwhelming stumbling blocks to become who I am today, through my self named “dark valley experiences”! I have resolved to use this book to document my story, and with this I intend to empower people to not let their struggles deter them from succeeding.

I had a troubled childhood and was exposed to physical and sexual abuse. That withstanding, I still managed to score good grades in school. However these grades didn’t save me. My autobiography, A PIECE of CAKE shares how I managed to break free from a spell of hopelessness. This is exactly what I want the reader to take from it.

patricia sewunguI did not allow my troubled past to deter me from emerging victor. Through hard work, determination and a really close relationship with God, you surely can’t fail. I’ve labored to take the reader by the hand and lead them down the path of self discovery, self help, self-empowerment and self love. Breaking free is only  possible if you “tap the power within.” My story is a manifestation that “valleys are purposeful”!

Do you need more of this inspiration? Look out for my autobiography A PIECE of CAKE which will be launched on 11th July ’15.
