Top Women receive Airtel Women of Substance Awards

By  |

Airtel has continued to handover the Woman of substance awards with Anne Kansiime receiving her award at the Airtel offices and later having to handover the award for the Mentor of the year award to the Nabagereka of Buganda Sylvia Nagginda. This was at the Nabagereka’s offices in Bulange Mengo.

Although, the Airtel Women of Substance Awards was previously being held by Warid Telecom which merged with Airtel last year, the Third Annual Women of Substance awards did not disappoint at all. The Airtel Human Resource Director, Ms. Lwanga Ntambi Flavia said; “We are glad to be working and empowering women in all aspects. The woman of substance award is meant to recognize all women who are responsible in the society and help build their communities.”

“I am thankful to Airtel for recognizing my works in the communities and the fact they are appreciating what is being done, gives me more encouragement to work harder towards empowering the girl child. This initiative is good and should continue to go on as we have many people who can be recognised for their works. I thank Airtel for all the social responsibility work they are doing.” Said Sylvia Nagginda the Nabagereka of Buganda.
