We can’t get enough of Rema’s big bow ties. Guess who designed them?

I’m a huge fan of Rema (who isn’t?) and everyone in the office here is loving her statement bow ties in the new music video Kukaliba. Love ballads seems to be her niche and she’s doing her best at it. Her voice is as  solid in play back as it is live and this is one thing that puts her apart. In this video, she rocks African print dresses, statement jewellery and our best – the statement bow ties in beautiful prints.

We have had a word with Rema herself and she dished the details. The bow ties and the matching dress and pants were designed by Latif. Latif is known for his extraordinary creativity. He’s the man behind some of Jose Chameleon’s eccentric outfits. 

Her make up which is also one of the highlights of this video was done by Damalie. Rema isn’t sure if she rocked these outfits in the video but we aren’t blaming her as this is a bold move. You cannot just walk out in them and not expect stares. 

Big bow ties were seen on runways during the previous season forexample at the Saint Laurent Spring Summer collection where statement they were a hit. Rema’s styling team thought otherwise and replaced necklaces with them. The idea definitely worked.

Her make up was on point. We are loving the statement jewellery as well.

When we saw that she she was rocking matching  high waist pants, we fell in love with the look even more. The Print being of bright colors makes them look sassy and the curves (no word!!) . These are pants you can rock to a business meeting (If you want to make a statement). Latif certainly knows how to flatter a woman’s body.
