Nutty Neithan Wears a Yellow Blazer By Kkoolo at the 2017 Young Achievers Awards Gala

It’s such a great moment for Ugandan fashion, and we are so proud to be present watching it all unfold before our eyes. Singer Nutty Neithan walked the red carpet at the Young Achievers Awards Gala last night in a yellow blazer by emerging brand Kkoolo. The creation is from their 2016 collection which was presented at Kampala Fashion Week 2016. The Samurai inspired look featured swords and dandelion detail on the sleeves.

It has taken such a long time for Ugandan designers, especially emerging ones to gain confidence of celebrities and basically everyone. Seeing all these celebrities confidently posing on the red carpet in designs made in Uganda is a sign that the fashion industry is growing.
